A one day endeavor for NaNoRenO (spoiler-ish post)

Okay, so.....

I literally dreamt this game up and created yesterday, which I am sure you saw in my notes. This piece definitely feels a bit more "unique" for a joke game. I wanted to make an April Fool's project that looks like a serious-tone one. The story doesn't feel like it goes anywhere on purpose, but I did play with some neat concepts I may recycle someday. I have to thank Dewdled (or Doodled, you'll see him credited either way) for recording the MC's lines under such short notice, as well as my brother. Unlike last year though, I decided to submit this project officially to NaNoRenO. The reason I didn't do so with last year's joke game was because NaNo was extended and I had an official NaNo project going at the time. But this year, we were doing an IntRenAiMo project (demo is due out Sunday), and those projects cannot officially be submitted to the jam page (anymore, it seems like a new rule being enforced, but we would have missed the deadline either way). So, I decided, to feel like I completed the jam, to submit it for NaNo (hopefully it stays, 'cause I am sure it counts, but if not ah well, it's still a NaNo game in my heart lol). 

I do hope you enjoyed the game, 'cause it was a lot of fun making it. Believe it or not, the few lines I had I recorded on my headset instead of my recording mic (something I forgot to talk about in the official notes). I didn't have time to set-up my main equipment, but the reason I could get away with it was because of the effects I did to it. For Kira's voice, I doubled the audio, making the second one a little off to create that alien echo effect. For the announcer, I added a filter called "CB Radio" and also added echo/reverb. Because of this, you hardly notice any lack of quality due to the filtering.

So anyway, that is the story of my one day endeavor and how this became my "NaNoRenO" project even though it also isn't all at once. It was a fun little joke that I put more effort into than I originally thought, but at least the power outage aspect of the plot allowed for supreme laziness since most of it has no images wahahahaha.
