Originally a writing trade for a friend

"The Cost of Kindness" was a short story I wrote last year for a friend, originally as a writing trade, but delayed to a Christmas present. The theme my friend gave me was "sweet". More explained in the game's Author's Notes.

I feel like some of my past short stories really fit the Twine format, to turn it into a "game" so to speak. kind of like the Twine version of a kinetic visual novel (in which a story has no branching, no choices). And so the ones I am really proud of, I have set to share in the Twine format, and I also have it available in PDF as well.
